The two weeks went really fast by, so that we went back to our starting point. I am quite sure, I would take the next chance to go again to the west of the USA. But maybe in april then, when the weather is more convenient.

Spectacular rocks, beautiful woods, lakes and crystal clear creeks which go primevalely through the landscapes. We also saw a couple of Redwood trees even so the Giant Sequoia-Parc is situated more in the south. The parc we could not visit, because of time problems - but next time!

Here it was still quite hot, around 40 degrees. But it was really impressive, so that this topic got into the background.

Luckily we did not have a breakdown, so we could watch this barren landscape from the car. For the night we stayed at oasis-like parking area, which seemed quite misplaced - no idea where the water came from, but it was all green, there even was a little lake.

Arrived in Las Vegas we parked the caravan on the area of the Circus-Circus-Hotels. From there we went to the Casinos - quite exhausting around 12 o' clock. The air was dry, 45 degrees, inside the casino it was 18 degrees - that's the USA. Good for the immune system. The Venecian was like Venice including the gondoliers.
The visit of the Enterprise and the virtual flight in the orbital glider over the roofs of Las Vegas was great. At the end of the day we were exhausted and it was still 39 degrees. On the next day we allowed ourselves the culinary delights of the american kitchen.

As gratification for our effort we got to see great landscapes and animals. We even watched whales. The pelicans and sea lions were also spectacular. At a nice little lake we went to sleep.
